About the event
We start with an overview of Dahl’s life and his sources of inspiration. What made Dahl one of our best loved and critically acclaimed authors of the 20th century? What made him write? What goes through the mind of an author? What made him so good? The workshop focuses on one of his most famous stories ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. The children will explore characterisation and, using descriptive language and role play, act out elements of the story, immersing themselves in the wonderful world of Dahl!
