Use your power to expand the Roman Empire and bring civilisation to the heathens of Britannia. What was so fierce about the tortoise? Who used a pilum? Why were spiders useful?

About the event
Setting the Roman invasion of Britannia in some context first, we discuss why the Romans came to our shores and the type of land and people they discovered here. The children then become the invading army and find out what it was like to be a soldier, how they trained, marched and conquered. Arriving in Britannia, we prepare for the arrival of the Emperor by building roads, before becoming settlers in this new land.
